About Emily Grace Somerville: With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure.  The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients.  In A multi-state effort, volunteers are raising funds for COTA in honor of transplant patients like, Emily Grace Somerville.  

Emily is the daughter of David and Theresa Somerville.  Born on May 21, 2007, Emily was diagnosed with Short Bowel Syndrome.  The doctors at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, have recommended a life-saving multi-organ (small bowel, liver and pancreas) transplant.  An estimated $70,000 is being raised, by volunteers, for transplant related expenses.
